Just got off the phone with my cable company.
They told me the Non DVR box I have is a Samsung SX022ANM shown on their website as a Pace XG2
The DVR box I have is a CISCO MX013ANC shown on their website as a Arris XG1 v3
The Pace XG2 is what I want to connect my slingbox to. I have it connected and the video and audio is perfect just can't change the channels.
Its a slingbox Pro. Its an older box. There was some type of an upgrade to HD but I don't have that.
I really miss the slingbox and hope some out there can help.
Does anyone know if the M2 slingbox can control the Pace XG2? That would be my worse case buy buying a new slingbox.
Thank you all
These boxes all use the same codes as the XG2
Comcast RNG 110
Comcast RNG 150 PVR
Comcast DTA 100
If you can't find a suitable built in one, I have built Custom Remotes for most of those at JP1 Remotes :: File Section
alanrichey is correct. You need to check the model of your COX Contour unit on the underside label. Mine stated Model: Pace PX022ANM. From there you go to your slingplayer and reconfigure the remote. Search for model PACE, and select the most similar remote control. Worked like a champ.
The Contour setup just about over shines the M2 Slingbox as you can have multiple users viewing different channels.....but its always nice to maintain your investment in the M2 Slingbox and have for a backup.
I recently had to change with Cox service to the new Contour 2. It is not an option for the setup feature on Slingbox, since it is so new. I have seen several posts saying that the newer comcast box can sometimes work and was unable to get it to setup etc. Customer service is no help. Can someone please let me now if they have an option that works AND can Slingbox please update us all when Contour 2 will be an option. This is one of the newest boxes on the market and will become a huge problem as cable begins to switch everyone. It is a major problem to NOT have my SLINGBOX now. firstname.lastname@example.org if anyone has answer. Thanks
