I have sat down for ages trying to work out how I delete Slingbox entries from the list in the iPhone / iPad app and cannot find anywhere to do it. If you hit Edit you only get the options to Add a new one or refresh the list.
Any help would be great.
You need to delete them using the PC/Mac Stane alone player or the web browser. Once you do that then when you run the iPhone / iPad they will not be shown.
Hi craigcullum, what BrandonC said is right, you can also access this web site (Sling Accounts) to manage the Slingboxes of your account.
Please note that the Slingplayer won't be updated with the changes in the account until you exit the application and open it again.
This question does not appear to have been answered. Am having the same difficulty. Let me provide some additional information:
- I have a personal slingbox that appears on my iPad directory and online in the Accounts/Manage Devices tool
- In addition to using my personal slingbox, I use my iPad to access other Slingboxes that are technically not mine -- they exist in a QA lab in Tulsa. These remote devices are not present in the Accounts/Manage Devices tool, though they are on the iPad's device directory.
- Some of the remote device information is old, and I would like to delete some of the devices. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this.
- Additionally, I need to go in and access the settings information on one of the remote devices so that I can replicate it on another iPad. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this either.
Please tell me how to 1) delete devices from my iPad, and 2) view a device's settings on my iPad.
