You can try first to reset the Internet Browser that you are using, take a look at this,
If the issue persists, I recommend to use a different browser, if you are using Internet Explorer and you have this error, you can use Firefox instead
Let us know how it works
The same thing happened to me today when I watched online from my Macbook Air (using Firefox). I was definately watching someone else's box. When I looked at my directory of boxes, I saw a new one that is not mine with a zip code in California (I'm on east coast). I was then able to watch and control it from my other devices (iPad, SlingPlayer 2 on Windows 7). I deleted it from my directory, but would like to know how this can happen. This is very disconcerting as it means that someone else's account might get associated with my slingbox at some point.
The same thing has been happening to me...I know someone should have an answer for this problem...I cant get through to customer service...Lately everytime I sign in,on the home page it will display my account info, but when i access the watch button there is someone else's email address and remote....all of my info is gone...plz HELP!!!!!!!!
Try below that was suggested by Rafael (Slingbox employee) - it worked
for my daughter in Singapore
have your daughter download the Slingplayer application
from the link below and ask her to try to use it and see if the issue happens
there as well.
this does not fix the web application, but she is able to watch our TV
via this desktop application
I have the same issue with my Sling solo box. I logged into the sling homepage, and all is fine. When I went to WATCH, the name on the upper right changed to someone elses, and I was connecting to and watching his sling.
I tried everything: logging out and back in, using a different brower, different computer, resetting my browser, etc.
One thing that DID work was installing and using the legacy Sling player client, which can still be downloaded here:
NOTE: I have noticed that a number of the people having this issue are logging in from Asia. I myself am in Bangkok Thailand.
Please share: What country were you in when you experienced this issue?
I am suspecting the "country of origin" may have something to do with this....
