I have the same. Anyone with ideas? Another problem with the hotel connect is that there's no way to acknowledge the hotel's requirement to accept their terms for use of the network as is possible when you can click on the "I accept" clause for their network. I have been able to talk the newtork administrator into keying in the SlingCatcher IP address, but that is rare that they will do this.
There are two options for you to try.
First, take a wireless bridge with you. In this case, you will use the wireless bridge in order to connect to the hotel's wireless signal. Then, you can get a hard-wired connection between the SlingCatcher and the wireless bridge. You should be able to get the connection to your Slingbox.
Your second option is to verify if there is an available Ethernet port in your hotel room. This way, you will be able to connect the SlingCatcher directly to the Internet through this connection.
