Is Slingplayer affecting ISP throughput limits

    mmgroup1

Formerly, I had Slingplayer software on my computers (MACs) and I could watch programs on my wireless network without ever going through my ISP. Now, it appears that Safari has taken over the interface. I'm concerned that watching programs on my wireless network is going through the ISP. Can anyone confirm what's really happening?

          Hi, mmgroup1

If you are using the web-based application through www.slingbox.com, yes. Keep in mind that if you are using the web-based application, you must log in to your Sling Account through the web browser.

So, if you use the SlingPlayer application through www.slingbox.com, you are using the Internet service provided by your ISP.
