    Problems with no video and sound

      I have had this problem since I purchase my slingbox 500, contacted a slingbox tech and get the same BS answer each time.  My problem is : I power up my cable/satellite box and for a minute or less I have video and sound but then my TV screen goes black with no video and sound.  The only solution is to disconnect the power to the slingbox for more than an hour then reconnect the power and the video and audio is fine.  This happen almost each time I power off my TV or cable/satellite box, I never power down the slingbox unless I have the problem.  The tech states it has to do with copyrights stuff.  Can someone help me?
