    Slingbox 500. Slingplayer remote control works great in home network - Won't change channels out of home network. Ideas?

      Devices:

      Slingbox 500, Slingplayer App on I Pad, HDMI to Component Adapter (Gang-hu as recommended by Slingbox). Cable Provider: Comcast (Xfinity X1)

       

      Using the Slingplayer App on my I Pad in my home network the system works fine and I can change channels. Using the Slingplayer App on my I pad out of the home network I cannot change channels. I have tried changing channels using the virtual remote on the app and using the Channel Guide. In both instances the requested "channel change" will display under the streamed video in the upper left corner of the app but the channel remains stuck on the last channel used on the cable box.

       

      What I have done:

      Verified I have the most updated version of Slingplayer.

      Completed a "Hard Reset" on the Slingbox 500.

      Reset the 500 to the correct Cable Company (Comcast) and verified the X1 remote was set-up and working at home.

      Searched Sling Community Posts - but have not found a similar (out of home network issue).

       

      Any Ideas? Thanks.
