    new xfinity error message prevents use of app

      i am trying to use a slingbox app on ipad or phone and get a new message from xfinity saying something about connecting an hdmi cable.

      my app no longer has video and comcast help line (although not very good) says that the new box prevents the app from working and streaming to an outside device.

      that cannot be true, since fire stick etc. has too many sling apps in service.

      What is my solution? Are there new video connection cables I have to set up. I am away from home and can't set up until i return

      any help?
