    inside ie6 active

Why do I get a popup dialogue that says "inside ie6 active" when I start Watch on slingbox.com?

It didn't used to happen but it has been doing so for weeks.

          An update my question:

This happens on IE8 on one PC.  I have tried Firefox on the same PC and IE7 on another PC and they both work.  I don't have IE8 that I can try on any other PC.

Am I the only one seeing this?

This happens to me too. Ever since that slingbox server crash in early August. Using IE8 and Win 7. Also find I cannot update software. Watch does work normally hough so no sure the implications of the IE6 message. Slinbox staff useless on this question BTW.

I think I found the problem with my IE8 on XP...

My browser (IE8) User Agent was identifying itself as both IE8 and IE6.  I'm not sure if it was a bug or a corruption or a feature of IE8 being installed on top of IE7 on top of IE6 but I deleted a registry entry saying IE6 and the "IE6 active inside" popup has gone and  "Setup" now works.

Check http://whatsmyuseragent.com/ to see what your browser is saying.
