Recently I had to change my internet service provider that required reset the slingbox. Before this change the slingplayer app for Ipad was connecting with no issues to Chromecast, but now when I want to connect the connection begins to connect, suddenly stops giving the following error message: "Session has unexpectedly closed. Please check the Internet connection of your Chromecast and Slingbox and try again." I have checked everything and even tested connecting to Chromecast from my Ipad using Hulu and it is working, thus something is wrong with the Slingplayer that I paid $14+ for my Ipad app. I do appreciate if someone can help me with this issue, than k you in advance.
You may want to try to set up port forwarding on the router for the Slingbox. The link below will explain what port forwarding is and will include a website that has guides on how to set up port forwarding:
