    Interpreting Slingbox Speed Test Results

I have a Slingbox 500 connected to a Shaw Direct satellite Receiver

I have 20 Mbps down and 7 Mbps at the Slingbox end with no other users or equipment on the connection and the device is ported through the router.

At the remote end I have 30 Mbps down  and 10 Mbps up with no other users or equipment on the remote end.

My Western Digital Media Player and my Fire TV I have been getting times when my quality would work at HD Quality then others where it would have dropouts even in basic.

The  Western Digital Box the Slingbox app has an Internet Speed test ... These are the results :

      Internet to Slingplayer  8.821 Mbps

      Slingbox to Slingplayer  281 kbps

      Recommended Video Quality Basic

So what does this mean  for each result and can I do anything about it ?

Also why no Internet Speed Test on the Fire TV ??

      Cheers
