I would try and reconfigure the remote to see if maybe the coding updated. You can use the article below to do so (ignore the title, the steps are still there):
Due to the time difference, if your Slingbox is in warranty and you are having issues calling support in the US, you can also call support in Japan at 0570064321 and they should be able to help without you having to work around that 14 hour time difference.

Tried it and it didn't work. There a TV program running with a note in a box that says "the program was switched to live TV to allow viewing". Another box with "OK" in it. When I click on "OK" nothing happens. When I try to use the remote to change channels or pull up the guide, the program freezes for a second so I know there's something going on.
