I am having the same issue. I just updated my OS to 126.96.36.1992 as well on my BB Bold 9000 and my slingplayer mobile has not worked the same. I can get it through eventually, after multiple attempts, but it is spotty and slow and if you try to change the channel, it blanks out for a few minutes (it sometimes comes back in).
I was very happy before I updated, but since, the slingplayer has not been the same. Any help in fixing this would be greatly appreciated!
Even though you might not have an Action Tec router, the issues covered in this thread seem to be related to what you are experiencing.
How can I watch remote Solo from behind FIOS Actiontec?

I, too, am having trouble making Sling mobile work on my Blackberry with new (188.8.131.522) OS Everything else works fine. I can watch via my pc, etc. Is my only solution to go back to the old OS? I think Sling media should at least admit they have a problem and tell people how to remedy it. I can't tell you how annoying it is to pay for software and then have the company desert you when you need assistance. PLEASE!! Give us some REAL support!!!
This question should NOT be "assumed answered" as the key question in this thread is the serious compatibility trouble between the current Sling Mobile BB player software (1.00.13), and the now CURRENT Blackberry 5.0.0. system software. Do we need to start a new thread? I spoke on the phone today with Sling tech support and was told that this issue is not yet on their "radar" though it MAY be on their SW Engineering team's radar.
I'm having the exact same problem after upgrading to the BB 5.0 operating system. Almost ready to downgrade back to the prior BB 4.x OS unless there's a fix from Sling.
Symptom: BB connects to Slingbox; shows controls BUT no video. Everything in the system is previously known good, and loggig into the Slingbox remotely with a Mac or Pc still works fine. YMMV.
I have tried router suggestions noted above. This has not helped. I love this app, but there clearly appears to be an issue with this operating system on the bold 9000. It comes in on occasion and sometimes it doesn't for me. I usually give it a minute or two before having to disconnect and try again. Usually after 3-5 tries, it comes in. Changing channels is a nightmare......screen blacks out and rarely comes back (although on occasion, it surpises me and comes back).
Before upgrading the software on the bold 9000, slingbox mobile was working great and you could change channels with no issues. Now, it is really finicky and requires multiple attempts and channel changing is not good.

Hopefuly slingbox comes out with a fix, or it might be worth downgrading the operating system back to 4.6.......
I have been going through the same problems with the old Blackberry OS 4.6 for weeks. Most times I can connect to my slingbox. I am able to change channels but have no audio or video. If I keep connecting and disconnecting it usually starts working properly. Sometime while connecting and disconnecting I get SlingPlayer cannot connect to your slingbox. Please check the internet connection on your phone & try again.
I’m replying to your response about Slingbox on Blackberry OS 5. I just converted back to ver 4 and everything is working OK again. I’m sure the problem I’m experiencing is due to OS5 and Sling media not really giving a da*m about it. They’ve got my money, what do they care…
