It wouldn't work with Chrome as its not a supported browser. You can only use Firefox, IE 7 and 8 with the Betaremotes website if it were up.
Anways, I posted this in a thread which is now locked. So, I assumed it was ignored.Aug 17, 2010 1:14 PM; in response to:; Dana
I'm not sure if this is relevant but I am able log into and even watch my Slingbox with Slingplayer 1.5, 2.0, and Web. However, I can't connect to my Slingbox via Betaremotes to configure the remote for my new DVR. I've tried both IE and Firefox and neither of them are able to connect. The following screenshots are the responses I get after pressing the "Get Started" button. I've tried deleting my cookies just in case an old one was getting in the way but I still get the same response and new cookies are created. This was not an issue prior to the server moves, so I presumed the issue was related.
Hi alanrichey42, betaremotes.slingbox.com is up now so you should be able to access it and if not you should try cleaning the cookies on the browser.
Regarding the Chrome issue right now we don't provide support to it however we may consider your request for future support.

I rang slingmedia support today and they said they have no timeframe for beta remotes to be up and running,
this should be taken out of beta and given more priority to be fixed, us gadget geeks need to set up our remotes
or it pointless of me having a device that i can only view one channel from..!!!!
Please get this fixed guys.....the world cant survive without T.V.
What I find odd is that it isn't the actual site and the learning process that is not working, it is the IP addressing of the site that is calling Firefox to go into a permanent redirection loop. Now surely that is the work of 30 seconds for an experienced IT tech to fix ? So why the hold up ?
I must say it would be nice if Sling were up front and truthful for once and told us the EXACT reason the site is under maintenace. Slim chance of that I guess on past performance
But remember I can normally build a Custom Remote for people if they have an unsupported device, I have only been unsuccessful on a few occasions.
