    I have a Slingbox A/V that works on my local network but not outside. Help

      I have a Slingbox A/V that works on my local network but will not go out to the web. I had it working but when I changed routers and Comcast changed my modum, I can no longer use it when away from my house. any help please?

          You may want to check to see if your port is accessible from the Internet.  Check using a site such as Open Port Check Tool.  I'm not sure what the open port should be for the A/V, however (seems like it uses 5001).  If the port is not accessible, then you will need to configure port forwarding on your router to allow Internet access.  First, use your router configuration web page to assign a static ip address to your device.  Then, configure the port that you need from the outside (maybe 5001?) to point to go to the same port internally and to your device.
