It sounds like your Slingbox either needs to be Port Forwarded on your home router, or you need to update your Internet Viewing settings. I would recommend processing the Port Forwarding first, as you will need to update the Internet Viewing settings afterwards anyways. I'll link a few articles below to better assist in this process:

Please do keep in mind that the primary steps for a proper resolution do have to be completed at the Slingbox location.
