Has there been any progress on the Unable to Connect (2) error being received by those trying to use Slingplayer and a Chromecast?
A month ago, it was remarked by a Sling moderator that the issue had been resolved and a fix was coming, but the moderators are no longer answering questions in that thread: Chromecast "Unable to connect (2)"
Would someone please provide additional updates on this persistent problem?

This evening, I downloaded the Free version of the Slingplayer and attempted to sling to the remotely located Chromecast and it DID work.
The paid version of the app does NOT work on the remotely located Chromecast. (different WIFI network)
The free version of the app does work on the remotely located Chromecast. (different WIFI network).
The paid version of the app works on the locally located Chromecast (same WiFi network)
The free version of the app works on the locally located Chromecast (same WIFI network)
Is Sling planning on updating, for those who paid $15, the app to support remotely located Chromecast support?
