I cant connect to my sling player mobile via HTC desire on O2.
I have router setup for internet viewing and this works via pc internally (in my network) and externally fine.
My wireless network access is restricted to certain mac addresses only. I have added my wireless mac address to the list of accepted addresses.#
When the phone connects over 3G will it user a diffrent mac address? and if so, How do i find out what this is?
I have tried a direct connect via my routers public ip address again, this only work intewrnally and externally via wifi.
I am getting H on the HTC rather that 3G that the same thing right? the slingplayer mobile works over H?
I managed to get it going. I had set my slingbox to use port 808 with the router which is the same as my phones Network access point - hence why it didnt work. I have now chaged router port forward and sligbox to port 5001 and its now fine!
thanks for all your help!
So if your on O2 don't set your slingbox and router to use port 8080!
If you're having difficulties getting your SlingPlayer for Android Phones Application to connect to your Slingbox, I have two things for you to try:
- Uninstall and reinstall the SlingPlayer Application.
- Run a speedtest on the network you are attempting to view from.
and here are two helpful links that will help you with this:
