This is also my problem. I have an iPod Touch and an iPhone 5S. I have the latest Slingbox app on both devices and both devices use the latest OS (9.1). I can watch Slingbox fine on either device, but neither device will successfully connect to Chromecast. All other apps on the mobile devices cast fine - Netflix, WatchESPN, FOX Sports GO, etc. Slingbox is the only problem. My Slingbox has a static IP and the local router forwards port 5001 to that IP. I can stream my Slingbox to my computer and phone, so I wouldn't think port forwarding is the issue when trying to do Chromecast. What else am I missing?

I have an M2 that is sending video to my phone with no issue. However after it initially worked flawlessly for a day, it will no longer cast to any of my 4 chromecasts.
The video starts playing on my phone and then I try sending it to the Chromecast, when I do that the Chromecast shows the Slinger logo and build. Then returns to the main screen for the Chromecast.
1. All other apps cast with no issue
2. Tried restoring the chromecast
3. Reset the network at both ends
