5001, 5002, 5101 Open and Facing Internet. What Protects Sling Devices from Hijack?

    RINKER

I recently installed a new router. I have 2 slingboxes and a sling player. I opened ports 5001, 5002, and 5101 and pointed them at the device each is associted with. I fixed the ip address for each sling device so DHCP wouldn't mess it up. UPnP is off.

I now have open ports facing the internet. Anyone can go through them straight to the device the port is associated with.

My question: What security is built into the sling device system and the DVR722 (slingplayer device via usb) to protect my home network and these devices? What stops the bad guys from hijacking a sling or dish device since the port is open?
