Hello L Z,
By the sounds of it, you can use your remote to control the cable box. Then when you go in full screen you lose the controller. To get started, you will need to have the remote up before you go in full screen. The remote will also disappear, after a few seconds of not moving the mouse. If it isn't one of those options, you might have to configure the remote again. If that does not help, hard reset the Slingbox to set up the Slingbox again. Here are a few articles that will explain how to do both.
- Slingbox.com - I got a new set-top box, and I can't control my TV now
- Slingbox.com - How to reset your Slingbox to factory settings
Hope this information helps!
Thank you very much for your response!
I tried all listed options below including reset. The problem won't go away.
Here is my routine:
- open up sling player
-select show remote control
-Select view in full screen; I also tried to allow the pop up on allow the full screen to no avail.
-once the full screen is on, the remote control will automatically shift from left hand side to right hand side for 10 sec and then disappear. I couldn't call it back by moving the mouse. I tried to Esc out of the full screen and move around the mouse, the remote won't come back. I tried to select show/hide remote control again and again with no effect.
-this remote shifting from left to right is new phenomena, linked to the remote disappearance.
-I also tried to move the remote back to the left hand side during its 10 sec appearance. It will not fix it either.
The only way I could use the remote is by closing the internet and starting again.
Very much appreciated for your help.
