If I were experiencing this issue, I would try a few troubleshooting steps.
First, I would try reconfiguring the virtual remote control in your Slingbox. Here is an article from our knowledgebase that should help you with that process:

I had not used my Slingbox for a couple of weeks &today logged back on to the site to be greeted with "new update availble". After upgrading & going through the tour of the features, I was connected to my Verizon DVR. However, the remote doesn't work.
I'm getting video fine. But remote does nothing but make a faint scratchy sound when I click any button. Anyone else having this issue?
