I have a few questions to try and narrow down the issue. What Browser are you using? Is your computer a Windows or Mac and what Operating System?
When you are on this screen and it is saying "A new SlingPlayer Web Plug in is available", it should be giving you an option to download, are you not seeing this option?
I am using Windows and am having the same problem on my desktop computer and laptop....my various tablets work fine with the Slingbox.
I click on "Intall Plug-In" and a box appears with the option "Add to Chrome"....when I click on that it goes right back to the original page of "A new Sling Player web plug-in is available".
There are a few things you could try. You could try refreshing the browser, clearing the cache and cookies in your browser, and you could try uninstalling the SlingPlayer plug-in then try to reinstall it. Here are a few articles that could help you out with this issue:
