Apparently there was a recent update to the web plug-in and I have downloaded/installed it at least 10 times now, but every time I try to watch my computer refreshes and tell me I have to the new updated plug-in. How do I solve this?
Quit and reopen the web browser? The SlingPlayer Plugin installer doesn't mention this is necessary, but it is. I think earlier versions of the plugin installer used to kill the browsers without asking, so this isn't such a bad thing.
Try temporarily disabling your Anti-virus, then install the plugin. A lot of times Anti-virus programs such as, Webroot, and Norton, can prevent the update/ installation process. You can also try adding it to your exception list.
I am on Mac OS 10.10.2 I have disabled my anti virus and mac firewall. I have downloaded the plugin twice, I have double checked my browsers to make sure they are current. I am still unable to install the plugin. -KLL
Try ejecting the SlingPlayer plugin disk image, then quit and relaunch Safari to try again. If that doesn’t work, reboot the Mac. If there is nothing to eject, please rerun the plug-in installer then eject it.
