Are you sure it's the Slingbox and not your cable/satellite box ?
I'm not sure. Could be. I'm out of the country and no one is at the house to check for me. It won't allow me to change the channels either

Coincidentally I am seeing the identical symptom on my UK system while I am in the USA. But I happen to have 2 Slingboxes connected to my Sky Box and neither of them will change channels so I know it is the Sky Box that is at fault.
