    I can't connect my slingbox 500


      I have a slingbox 500 which worked great.  The area I live in had a major thunderstorm hit.  I could not connect to my slingbox.  When I checked on the slingbox all the lights were on and I could not get it to reset.  I figured the unit got roasted.  I replaced it with another new slingbox 500.   I went through the set up and have not been able to make the connection from my computer.  The prompt I get on the screen "currently not accessible.  Could be in an update, turned off, local network issue, router issue or unable to connect to their back end services".  Nothing else got damaged.  My TV is fine.  My DirectTV receiver is fine.  I am not sure what to do.  Thanks for the help.
