    Slingplayer problems...

      I just bought a Slingbox 500 and the apps for my iPad and iPhone 5s worked great after setup. I upgraded to iOS 8.0 and I now am experiencing a problem.  Specifically, I can only get it to work when the TV is on.  If it's off, the screen says I'm connected; however the video and audio don't actually "appear".  Suggestions or thoughts?
