When the Slingplayer reports there is no network, its because it cannot connect to one of the Sling servers. It can be due to malicious code, outdated DNS cache, double routing, or some other wonky circumstances.
These are the servers which are important to the Slingplayer.
I recommend using "nslookup" and "ping" on each of those addresses to verify that they match. You can also use http://www.ipchecking.com to verify your results and aren't malicously being misdirected.
