    WD TV Live Disconnected Every 2-4 Minutes, Help!

      I bought a Slingbox 500 and a WD TV Live a few months ago and everything was working. Starting in June, every time I connected to my slingbox from my WD media player it lost connectivity after 2 - 4 minutes. If you reconnect it fails again after 2 - 4 minutes. I tested other devices and found it is the WD player, but does anyone know how to solve the problem?

          Hello bigbadbubba,

           

          What this sounds like is the Internet Viewing for TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) streaming through the home router has failed.

           

          I recommend to port forward the Slingbox through the home router.  This step has to be done at the location of the Slingbox.

           

          If you do not know how to do this, contact Sling Media Technical Support at 1-877-GO-SLING to see if they can help you out.
