I got a new cable box and hooked up the component out to Solo's in. Then took the out put
and connected it to the TV. The solo says NO Video, audio is fine. The TV shows a perfect picture.
What am I doing wrong?
Figured out that the cable box must be on 1080i not p.
Fixed it.I guess the old solo can't handle 1080p.

I'm trying to hook up a Solo for my son who is overseas and have the same problem. What is 1080i and 1080p, and can I cahnge this myself?

You can't, but I suspect that is not the problem. Are you using the HDMI output of the cable box ? That will often disable the component video. What happens if you disconnect the HDMI cable from the box ?
