      Did Sling send out a bad update that causes not for use in USA?

       

      I have two Slingbox HP PROs which both quit working about the same time.  I still get a picture, but the remotes don't work.

       

      When I try to update the box, it says it 's not for use in the USA...

       

      "This Slingbox was ot originally designed to be used in USA.

       

      The new Desktop Player would update the box, but still won't offer any remote selection for the DVR device attached.

       

      Other options seem to be there such as cable boxes, and such, just not DVRs for some reason.

       

      It must be because of the USA problem.

       

      I have owned these two PRO HDs for a couple of years purchased from Sling directly in the USA.

       

      I have heard that some people has successfully had them replaced by Sling because of a faulty update they supplied to the boxes.

       

      How do I go about getting this done?  Due to the apparent cause, there should be no warranty problem since it was a Sling mistake on updates.
