          Hello iawawdeh,

Thank you for using the answers forums.  The Slingbox 500 uses UPnP to set the port forwarding for the router. At this point in time, there isn't a way to set a static IP for the Slingbox 350 and 500. We are very sorry for the inconvience.

          Thanks,

          Katie

The Slingbox 500 only uses DHCP.  If your network supports DHCP and you can set up a DHCP reservation (if your router supports it), you can set a static address for the Slingbox 500--but note the Slingbox will still be negotiating opening ports with your router via UPnP.  Consult your router's documentation for information regarding DHCP reservations.

If you don't have DHCP on your network, you will need to find an older model Slingbox (anything before the 350 and 500) that allow a static address to be set on the Slingbox itself.
