    My iphone app displays no Roku option

      I have a Roku 3 and a new Slingbox 500 and cannot connect the slingbox to my roku through my iphone via the additional $14.99 app.
      they are both on the same network and all devices including my router have been updated. I have tried rebooting everything as well as all other suggestions. Please fix before I return the slingbox to the Best Buy and tell my tech friends how this device falls short of it's promises. I feel very cheated as of right now, the device is expensive enough.

          Hello matthewbmoulton,

          I'm sorry that you have had trouble getting your SlingPlayer for Roku to work properly.

           

          I know you stated you have rebooted, but If you are able, please complete these steps...

          • Stop streaming and start streaming again on the phone app.
          • Reboot the Roku player (it may take up to 5 minutes after rebooting for the Roku to be discovered).
          • Reset the Roku’s network connection.

          ...and if the issue persists, I invite you to call our tech support at 877-GO-SLING so we can further troubleshoot this for you.
