Not sure if this is the right forum, but I didn't see one for Windows PC and this was the closest I could find.
I have the ProHD and it is working fine at home and partially over the interwebs.
I am running SlingPlayer v126.96.36.1995 on a Windows 8.1 64-bit laptop. It works fine at home when I am on the LAN, but I can't seem to get it to work over the internet. It is not a port issue as I can access the same box with my iPhone over LTE and I can access it by streaming via the slingbox web page. It is only the windows app that is causing problems.
I can log into my sling account but I get the following error message whne I try to connect via the app:
"There was a problem communicating with the Slingbox. Try connecting again."
Has anyone come across this? Could this be a setting within Windows that prevents the app from connecting?
