Watching at Home, Network Path Question

    johnvic

If I'm watching my slingbox at home with a computer is the slingbox signal still going through the slinbox website or is it local? I tried to watch from work and it was unwatchable but if I'm on my couch it's good. I'm trying to decide if I need to upgrade my uplad speed. I only get 1 Mbps upload.

The video/audio stream will be local for local viewing.

However, an initial connection is made to Sling's servers to retrieve your account details and also the Slingplayer may possibly be sending stats and stuff to Sling while you view.....but the actual stream won't go out on the Internet and back in again.
