Hooking up a remote to work with web player

I am using the web player on IE running on the Windows 8 desktop.  I would like to hook up a programmable remote to work with my slingbox 500.  I have been thinking that if the web player supported keystrokes I could program a remote to send the proper key sequences.  However from my testing and reading I do not think that there are keystrokes that correspond to the Tivo remote.

Can someone let me know if there is a way to use a remote and map it to the remote in the web player.  I am sick of trying to click on a screen with a mouse on the arm of the sofa.

      Thanks in advance

          Hey MRK,

Thanks for asking! We fully support using your keyboard to control the on-screen remote feature. If you place your mouse over each button, it will show what you need to press on the keyboard to make this function happen.
