Not just a volume control problem is it? You do know that the volume control controls whichever app is running at the time, so have Slingplayer running and try adjusting. Sorry if I'm trying to teach you to suck eggs, but sometimes it's the obvious that we forget first. Post back if no go and I'll dig deeper.
