    lost connection to slingbox classic

      hello

       

      am from manila, philippines and got this old slingbox classic and trying to revive it...

       

       

      1. my slingbox connects to LAN and got an IP

       

      2. downloaded and installed SlingPlayer 2.0 on win7

       

      3. on slingplayer, detects the box in LAN and updates its  firmware (i guess),

       

      4. registered it using my email.

       

      5. While detecting/scanning video source.... got this  screen message  "Lost connection to Slingbox"

       

      6. the box reboots..(i guess).. its LAN indicator turned Off and On.

       

       

      need help.

          Hello tonting,

           

          Thanks for posting in the Slingbox Answers forum! I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble getting an Internet connection to your Slingbox Classic.

           

          When you say the LAN indicator turns off, then on, do you mean the network light is blinking? If so, this means the Slingbox has not received a valid IP address from your network.
