Unable to upgrade Slingplayer because of Transforms Error

I was unable to upgrade to the latest Slingplayer using Windows 7 and IE9 or IE10.  The upgrade to the latest SlingPlayer would fail because the older version would not uninstall (version I isntalled 4/30.2013.  To uninstall the older version of the WebSlingPlayer ActiveX directly you can do this from Control Panel Add Remove Programs - locate WebSlingPlayer AciveX and Uninstall option.  If this fails because of an error "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid" then the work around is to delete the Transforms registry key related to the WebSlingPlayer. You must locate it in

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products\ - for example - *26*Microsoft\Installer\{2DC0661C-FF81-4358-9F33-76EA6CAB6BF6}\Change_Sequence.mst.  You need to delete the string value Transforms from the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products\ key that related to WebSlingPlayer.  Once the Transforms string value is deleted you can then uninstall the old version from Add Remove Programs and then go back to the Slingbox website and the upgrade to the latest Slingplayer will then work properly.
