    Speed - Throttling

    soundnstyle

I am having an odd problem with my Pro-HD.  When I connect to it from my office, initially the bitrate jumps up to 2,000 - 2,500, but then within a few minutes it drops back down to hold rock solid at exactly 1,000.  My best guess at this point is that Comcast is throttling that type of connection, but I am not sure.

My exact setup is a Pro-HD hardwired to a Belkin 700 router.  Belkin is hard wired to the Comcast modem, which speed tests at 35/14.  The connection at my office, is a Comcast modem (just speed tested at 34/12), which is hardwired to a gigabit switch, then out to my Mac.

Has anyone else experienced this type of issue / throttling of the speed?  Are there any specific settings I should doublecheck?
