Who's responsible and how can I fix it?

My Slingbox HD Pro works fine on my notebook PC, but can't get it turned on on my Nexus 10 tablet PC. What happens is Slingbox tells me to install Sling Player. I went to the Google Play Store and bought(for $14.99) and installed Sling Player for Android tablets. But SlingBox still refuses to recognize the installation and tells me to install Sling Player. What to do? Google tells me it's not their problem. Slingbox tells me it's not THEIR problem!

I tihnk we have a terminology problem here.  Slingbox is that lump of plastic you have sitting by your TV, it can't tell you anything.   All the interaction is through some sort of viewing software, normally called Slingplayer.

Can you explain in a bit more detail what you see on the tablet when you tap on the Slingplayer icon ?
