    Can I buy a 'refurb' from Sling? Mine died :(


      My Slingbox Pro (the red one) died after an upgrade in 2011. The power light would not light.

      I understand If I make a paid service call $30 and we cant get it to work....I can buy a refurb for

      $99 and apply the service call fee toward it.


      Is this true?


      I ONLY  NEED TO STREAM TO MY ANDROID....I've never used it for streaming to any pc.


      I have an android phone

      Windows XP....latest software and fast hardware (worked fine for ages)




      PS....I've been scoping E-bay for used / mint condition units and there's a lot out there.

          Thank you for using our Answers Forum. Sorry to hear you are experiencing a power issue with your Slingbox PRO. However, that's a great question! If your Slingbox is outside of its one year warranty you will need to pay a $29.99 pay per incident service for support. If support cannot resolve the issue, you can request an out of warranty repair, which is $70.00 if you have already paid the $29.99 for support.
