I noticed that the Android app apparently only supports 2 different quality settings (SD and HD) as opposed to the web application that offers four different quality settings. Even in SD quality setting, the Android app requires a bandwidth way beyond 1 Mbit/s which unfortunately is the uplink limit I can get from local ISPs at a reasonable price. While the Android app works fine when I am at home and the Slingbox is on my local network, I can't use it all while travelling as picture and sound will just constantly freeze due to the high bandwidth requirement. My phone is the Nexus 4 from LG. Is there anything, that I am missing here? The web application works fine while travelling as long as I stay with the lowest quality option.
