Thanks very much.
I had already tried this but it does not work.
When I try to test it with a power off test, nothing happens then it displays an error message.
“The unit does not recognise the code” or something similar ………………
I have tried many remotes: V2010 S1536 and a few others.
The only one that it seems to half recognise is S2000.
Is there a way to write my own remote? (Not that I am a programmer).
That message means it is not seeing the proper BIN file. Are you REALLY sure you are following the instructions properly ? Are both the BIN files in the \SBAV\ folder ? Are you typing C2010, not c2010 ?
BTW, ignore the name of the code numbers (C2010, C2000, ...) they are irrelevant. It just shows who built it (I use 2010)
I have been a comms tech for nearly 40 years.
I play with PCs a lot. (Not programming).
I previously had a Solo but it died. Brain failure. The remote worked OK except for the MUTE function.
I did not research the Pro. I just saw it on ebay and my daughter in England was complaining because she couldn’t watch her Netball. So I got it.
Maybe I just got the wrong model but I thought that a generic remote should work.

I give up then. In almost 3 years of providing Custom Remotes I have found only 4 reasons for that error message:
1. One of both of the files was missing from the \SBAV\ folder.
2. Typing in a lower case letter.
3. Me not compiling it properly. But this one has been downloaded 754 times with no previous complaints so I doubt that is the problem
4. The user had one of the very first bactch of Slingbox classics that use a different chip set. If you are using a pro that is not relevant.
I am quite happy to do the install for you, but I am not allowed by the forum rules to ask you for your username and password. But if you e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss the problem......
