Number of Devices - Slingbox Solo IR Blaster

    jookieapc

      Hello all,

I realise the Slingbox Solo only supports one input, but is it possible to control more than one device with the IR blaster? It seems like it's meant to because of the dual IR blaster devices on the one cable... from Slingplayer though, I only seem to be able to setup one remote.

      Thanks,

      Ben

          Hey jookieapc,

I was a little confused when I saw the dual feet on the IR blasters myself, esecially since your right and you can only connect one device to the Slingbox SOLO.

The reason that there are two feet on the IR blasters is because we also use these with our Slingbox PRO-HD, which you can connect more than one device to.

          Hope this helps.

          Thanks,

Actually the IR Blasters for the Pro-HD has 4 heads, not 2:-)

And you are both wrong, You can attach 3 devices to a Solo, using the 3 different video inputs.  The problem is there is only one audio channel.  But I have just used a 'splitter' to input 2 different audio streams and the whole system works well.  I just have to make sure the 'other' device is turned off when you are streaming from a device.
