    Slingbox Solo won't connect to network after firmware update


      My Slingbox Solo has always been a bit twitchy, dropping connections and crashing the iPad app, but a few weeks back it failed completely, unable to pass through video or anything. I read the discussions and it appeared to be a power supply issue. I ordered a new power supply, but now I can't get past the initial setup phase. If I hold down the reset button until it does a hard reset, it will join the network and can be found by the configuration ActiveX plug-in, but as soon as I do the required firmware update it won't talk to the network again, until I hard reset. I've tried setting a fixed IP address in the router and forwarding port 5001 to it, but the Slingbox never reconnects to the network after the firmware update.
