Problem is you will get NO help from sling, they do nothing, about this. I have been going on 6 months now, unable to use sling from my main laptop. Other systems work ok. I had called in and requested they open something with the development group, and all they could keep telling me to do is reinstall windows, and that Windows 7 x64 Enterprise was not supported, all balony.
well I didn't get help from slingbox but I did find out that if I'm using my sprint USB 4g cell modem I get the errors on all browsers. But, if I shut that down and use WiFi it works fine. ??not sure why that is, but it is fact in n my case??
my other option is to use the sprint modem, but open a VM with win 8. It did work that way even with the cell modem. strange, but for now I have a work around until slingbox fixes their issues. .
Guess i am not alone ><
After slingplayer.com forced me to installed the new updated SlingPlayer Active X plug in, my player no longers shows properly anymore.
(me running a 64bit Win 7, IE 10 and Firefox 20.0.1 ) ( I guess I am lucky coz with the same configurations, so far so good until this week new updated at "newwatch.slingbox.com"
Last week, when I am at "http://watch.slingbox.com/", everything works fine
From this week onwards, when i am promted to link to "newwatch.slingbox.com" with the new plug-in forces to be installed,
now , i have a BLACK screen. With occasionaly still picts on my TV
Is Sling looking at the issues now?
I am very frustrated with how they forced me to watch the HD BOX under their homepage.
It is just too inconvenient!!!
Anyone know how to solve it?
