No one was hurt. Just one of those "FLASH-BANG" lightening strikes. My Motorola Xoom was playing TV in the kitchen and it shut down just as the lightening hit. All of the rest of my network was unaffected, just that the SlingBox cannot find my network!
I went ahead and ordered a Slingbox Pro HD. My Pro has a HDMI input, and I purchased (years ago) a neat HDMI to Component pass-through cable that I gurss I won't need. Hopefully, the Pro HD will provide years of service.
