Slingbox classic does setup properly in India

    pranavrawal

      Hi,

I am trying to setup my Sligbox Classic at my home in India so that I can watch it in US. But when I try to set it up, the picture comes all distorted and there is no sound at all. I thought it was because of the PAL signals in India and the Classic expects NTSC. Can someone please confirm if this really is the issue or is it something else?

      Thanks,

      Pranav

          HI Pranav,

The tuner on the US version of the Sling Classic is NTSC-only as far as I know.  That's likely your problem.  Here's a clip from the user guide:

If you have something that has a PAL tuner and an A/V output (composite or S-Video), you might try that with one of the other inputs on the Slingbox.  A VCR perhaps ?

          Hope this helps,
