    Weak or no video signal detected


      I just purchased a slingbox solo prior to a holiday in Tenerife as I knew the hotel had wifi available.

      I was able to connect once, albeit with poor video quality, but now I keep getting the above message (weak or no video signal detected) and cannot connect at all.

      Would it matter that my sky box automatically goes into standby every night?

      The wifi strength in the hotel room is about 4mb/s from speed tests I have done and appears to be good enough to stream video from other sources via an VPN which I signed up for.

      Any help would be gratefully appreciated as I had high hopes for this before I left.
